Eva Oh – internationally recognised as Mistress Eva – is a Dominatrix, educator, filmmaker, and advocate whose work has shaped global conversations on sexuality, BDSM, and sex work. Honoured with a Sexual Freedom Award and celebrated as the face of the German Fetish Ball, she is also the creator of the pioneering submissive training platform youwillpleaseme.com, the award-winning Safeword podcast, and the #teakink series.
Her influence spans far beyond the dungeon. Profiled by The Washington Post, WIRED, Rolling Stone, Entrepreneur, VICE, DAZED, i-D, InStyle, and Newsweek, Eva’s perspective is informed by a career that bridges strategic development, ethnographic research, sustainable design, social work, and performance art. She has spoken at international stages including the Berlin Porn Film Festival, PinkFest Singapore, and Burning Man USA, and continues to mentor and consult for those navigating BDSM and power dynamics in their lives and work.
Eva’s journey began in 2011, when she left the corporate sector to train at Sydney’s legendary Salon Kitty’s under Head Mistress Amanda, later publishing an industry guide in English and Japanese. Her ongoing memoir-guide expands on that legacy, combining lived experience with cultural critique.
Her creative work extends into film: her debut Grief Encounter (with Ellen Pearson and Kitty Drake) won the Baron Art Prize 2022, premiered at Rotterdam International Film Festival, and was released by Erika Lust’s XConfessions. She has since acted in further films for Lust, cementing her voice in erotic cinema.
Beyond sexuality, Eva is a trustee of RAW (Rediscovering Art by Women), a UK charity dedicated to reviving overlooked female artists. Her legacy is also archived at the UK Fetish Archive, Bishopsgate Institute, and immortalised in a Sardax portrait inspired by Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy.
Today, Eva continues to use media, mentorship, and performance to destigmatise sexuality, advance sex workers’ rights, and explore how power, intimacy, and culture intersect.
